Technique of Fertilizing Durian Plants

🌾 Step 1: Determine when to fertilize

The amount of NPK or fertilizer mixture is evenly divided and applied several times a year (4 – 6 times). If conditions permit, monthly fertilizer will give better results. Can use more foliar fertilizer if the plant grows poorly, pay attention to spraying on the underside of the leaves.
Organic fertilizers and lime: Apply once at the beginning of the rainy season.
Micronutrient fertilizer: Spray 2 times a year.
🌾 Step 2: Determine how to fertilize
Root fertilizing
– Organic fertilizer: Apply to the hole before planting or spread around the tub at the edge of the foliage, lightly and evenly plowed.
– Inorganic fertilizers: Concentrate on topsoil (durian trees have shallow roots of only 0 – 30 cm). During the basic construction period, the roots of durian trees have not developed strongly, so fertilize around 20 cm from the base depending on the size of the tree. Cover with a thin layer of soil and use leaves, grass, and cabinets on top.
🌾 Step 3: Apply fertilizer for durian
– Fertilizer: Mix organic fertilizer or manure and lime evenly with soil into the hole/root and fill the hole 15 – 30 days before planting.
– Top dressing: Lightly till the soil in the canopy, spread the fertilizer evenly, and cover with a thin layer of soil on top.
🌾 Step 4: Water after each fertilizer application
Watering enough moisture after fertilizing so that the fertilizer can be easily absorbed by the plants, but not too much watering, will wash away the fertilizer.
It can be combined with measures to keep the soil moist and reduce the amount of volatile manure.
🌾🌾🌾 Fertilize durian according to the 5 right principle
⭕Apply the right type of fertilizer
⭕Fertilize properly the physiological needs of durian trees
⭕Fertilize the right soil conditions
⭕Fertilize at the right time
⭕Fertilize at the right way
